This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service, including the imagination assessment, account features, and contact forms.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Data We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: When you sign up or sign in, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). If you use a social or third-party login, we may receive your name, email, and profile identifier from that provider.
- Assessment data: When you take the imagination assessment, we store your responses and related metadata (e.g., attempt ID, timestamps) so we can generate and display your Imagery Profile and reports.
- Contact and inquiry data: When you use our contact form or send us a message, we collect your name, email address, company (if provided), subject, and message content.
- Payment information: If you purchase or subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we may store billing-related identifiers (e.g., Stripe customer ID) to manage your subscription or purchases.
- Usage and technical data: We may collect information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and similar data when you use the Service, including through cookies and similar technologies (see the Cookies section below).
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service (including the assessment and your Imagery Profile).
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
- Respond to your contact form submissions and inquiries.
- Send you service-related communications (e.g., password reset, account or security notices).
- Analyze usage and fix bugs, improve performance, and personalize the experience where applicable.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the security of the Service.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with third parties only as follows:
- Service providers: We use providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting, analytics, payment processing (Stripe), and anti-abuse/captcha (e.g., Cloudflare Turnstile). These providers process data on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the security of the Service.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., local storage) to:
- Essential operation: Keep you signed in, remember your preferences (e.g., theme), and maintain session and security state.
- Analytics and performance: Understand how the Service is used (e.g., pages visited, errors) so we can improve it. We may use first-party or third-party analytics tools.
- Security and anti-abuse: Our captcha and security providers (e.g., Cloudflare Turnstile) may set cookies to prevent abuse and fraud.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may limit your ability to use certain features (such as staying signed in).
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Assessment data is retained in association with your account. If you request deletion of your account or personal data, we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with our procedures and applicable law, except where we must retain for legal, security, or accounting purposes.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), secure authentication, and restricted access to personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
