Kinesthetic imagery is the felt sense of movement in your body during motor imagery—the muscle and timing sensation of "doing" the movement in your mind rather than watching yourself from outside. It is distinct from tactile imagery (touch) and from external visual imagery (EVI) (watching yourself). The MIQ-3 measures kinesthetic imagery (KI) separately from internal visual imagery (IVI) and EVI. The Imagination Index measures motor imagery as one of the six senses, which includes this kinesthetic component.
