Hyperphantasia

Hyperphantasia is the experience of exceptionally vivid mental imagery—internal sensory simulations that feel almost as clear as real perception. It can apply to one sense (e.g. very strong visual imagery) or several. People with hyperphantasia often report detailed, stable images in the mind's eye, rich inner sound, or strong imagined touch, smell, or taste. It sits at the high end of the imagination spectrum, opposite aphantasia. The Imagination Index reports whether each of your six senses falls in the aphantasia, typical (phantasia), or hyperphantasia range based on your percentile score.
