In the Imagination Index, a category is one of the six imagery dimensions: Visual, Auditory, Motor, Olfactory, Gustatory, and Tactile. Each category has its own linear score, percentile score, and status (aphantasia, phantasia, or hyperphantasia) in your Imagery Profile. Categories are further broken down into subcategories (e.g. Visual into Objects, Places, People; Auditory into Sounds and Music) so you can see which aspects of that sense are stronger or weaker.
